ChamberFest is Los Alamos Chamber of Commerce’s annual event that showcases chamber members. Located in the downtown area, businesses display their products and services to the public. This year there will be street work done on Central so ChamberFest will happen on MainStreet back in the green space known as The Park at Central Park Square. There is also a Car Show and Kids Activity Area with the LANB sand pile.
ChamberFest is a family-oriented activity that serves several purposes:
To give Chamber members a chance to show off their products and services in a fun environment
To provide families with entertainment and more information about businesses (each family receives a map of downtown and walks from merchant-to-merchant)
To bring people into the downtown for fun. The event acquaints potential customers with parts of the downtown area and stores they might not normally visit.
To contribute to the overall feeling of well-being in the community.
There is an outdoor, catered, picnic on Friday, June 13th that recognizes chamber members at The Park at Central Park Square. This low-key recognition is meant to have everyone relax and enjoy each other’s company. Because it’s on Friday night, it will lead right in to the free summer concert at the Pond, which is put on by impresario Russ Gordon.
Chamber Picnic – June 13th 5:30 AM – 7:00 pm
ChamberFest – June 14th 10:00 am – 2:00 pm
On Saturday, June 14th, the community is invited to come downtown to enjoy music, dance, inflatable playgrounds, a giant sand pile for kids, car show and other family friendly entertainment. Businesses utilize this opportunity to provide giveaways and games for attendees. The weekend’s event looks to draw over 2,000 consumers to the downtown area.
