For years the Los Alamos community has been wanting a sports shop. Enter Brad and Rose Nyenhuis with the vision to establish a bike, ski and running store in Los Alamos. The couple first fell in love with Los Alamos when they visited back in February and had dinner with members of the cycling and running community. They decided then to move from Indiana and start this new business. Brad is an avid cyclist while Rose loves running and they both enjoy skiing. Los Alamos was the perfect fit because it offered it all .

Brad first reached out to Los Alamos Business Assistance Services back in February with the hopes of getting some market information and working on a business plan. He was also interested in the recreational report and sporting clubs contacts. Business Advisor Katie Stavert responded to Brad’s inquiry and was excited about this new business. Brad and Rose worked over the next couple of months, with assistance from Katie, to get this business up and running.

After months of hard work, their dream is now a reality. They have leased the space at 106 Central Park Square, where UPEX used to be. They will offer not only running shoes, apparel, and accessories but free computerized gait analysis. For cyclists there will be Canfield Brothers bikes, bike repair services, apparel and accessories. Now as winter approaches, be sure to get your skis tuned, waxed and repaired at Fusion Multisport. They hope to open by early November, so be sure to stop by and check it out.
